UPDATE: MP George Wright released from police station without charge
Westmoreland Central Member of Parliament George Wright has been released from the Freeport Police Station in St James without charge.
He surrendered today to be interviewed by cops in relation to an assault case.
The Jamaica Labour Party MP was accompanied by his attorney Able-don Foote.

Wright is being investigated in relation to the assault of a woman that was captured on closed circuit television.
He was named as a person of interest by the police as they probe the matter.
The woman had also filed a report to the police.
