Foreigner charged with drug offences for court Friday
The foreigner who was arrested at the Sangster International Airport following a drug seizure on Saturday has been now been charged.
Twenty-two-year-old Cameryn Harris-Love of North Carolina, United States has been charged with possession of, dealing in, conspiracy to export and attempting to export cocaine.
The police say around noon, Harris-Love was about to board a flight to Charlotte when the Narcotics Police searched her luggage and found a secret compartment that contained a white substance resembling cocaine.
She was taken into custody and the drugs weighing 4.25 pounds were seized.
It had an estimated street value of US$96,500.
Harris Love is scheduled to appear before the St James Parish Court on Friday, December 10.
