Get your thumb green at Home Grown

Dawn Mullings loves flowers. And she is not your average plant lover. She had so many plants around her home that one day, her husband asked her, why not sell some? She took his advice, and as they often say, the rest is history. Next Saturday, December 5, the fifth staging of Home Grown will take place at Water Cress, a lush riverside property in Westmoreland.

Over the years, Mullings, the CEO of Hope Events, has brought a one-of-a kind event to her home parish of Westmoreland. Today, Home Grown is a grand family event, something she says is not very common in the parish. The event has combined her love of everything authentically Jamaican - art, plants, craft items, and more. That's the big difference between Home Grown and similar events - everything that is on sale, Mullings shares, is made in Jamaica.

According to her, "People need to see what's available in Jamaica."

So, whether you are a plant lover or looking for a family event, Home Grown is the perfect way to support Brand Jamaica.
