It's coming down to the wire, and this past week, the 27 contestants in this year's Miss Universe Jamaica (MUJ) competition were taken through their paces in preparation for the grand coronation show to be held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel tomorrow. This included one-on-one interviews with the judges, as well as swimwear and evening gown preliminary judging.

Their first stop in a week of travelling the north coast was at Dolphin Cove, Ocho Rios, St Ann, to experience all the famed attraction has to offer. Later that night, the girls participated in a mini charity fashion show at the Hilton Rose Hall in Montego Bay as part of the hotel's talent showcase. This featured designs from NeahLis and 911 Limited. The designers are required to donate an outfit that will be auctioned online through the MUJ social media platforms, with proceeds going towards the MUJ charity, GOGETTER.

On Tuesday, it was on to Jewel Paradise Cove in Runaway Bay to select the top six in the Lasco iCool swimwear parade. Reigning MUJ Kaci Fennell and former MUJ Sanya Hughes were on hand to assist with adjudication for the pre-judging.

On Wednesday, it was lights, camera, and action for a series of photoshoots at Jewel Runaway Bay involving the competition's official swimwear designer, Loran V.

The week ended at Prospect Plantation, where the girls enjoyed ATV rides and a tractor tour of a working plantation before heading in to Kingston to get all glammed up for tomorrow night.
