Patriotic pride shone through the dark clouds that hovered over the island on Sunday as Jamaicans, decked in their national colours, turned up at the National Stadium to be part of the Grand Gala. It was by no means a regular celebration as former Prime Minister Edward Seaga and Dr James 'Jimmy Cliff' Chambers were honoured for their great contributions to Jamaican culture.
