Yes, there are indeed sentencing guidelines that purport to guide judges in coming to their decisions. However, it could also be interpreted as a message to society, suggesting that a crime such as scamming is more detrimental to society than taking a life.
2 If you have a friend or relative in the United States who has not been in touch recently, and if such a persons is ‘undocumented’, expect to hear from that person soon. There are many reports of midnight calls from long-lost relatives who think the screw is tightening and that they may soon have to return to the rock, so they are making sure they will have a place to go to. Well, it may not be so easy, we are predicting.
3 The unruly taxi drivers who appear to be able to break the law with impunity are proving to be a pain in the tonsils for some service station operators. They use the stations to by-pass the road, and they also use up their customers’ parking spaces. Security guards have reported various disputes with these sacred cows.
