Morris takes Heroes’ Classic

National golf representative Sean Morris combined skill, talent and home-course knowledge to secure victory at the two-day Heroes' Weekend Classic, held at Cinnamon Hill Golf Course.

Morris scored one under par, 71, and two under, 70, for a combined total of 141. He finished 21 strokes ahead of his closest rival in the 0-6 group, Robert Chin (162), while Justin Burrowes (164) was third.

Montego Bay-based players swept the 7-11 category. Vinroy Dell won with rounds of 75 and 79 (154), followed by Glenroy Stephenson (161) and national junior player, Sebert Walker.

Cedric Blair, Red Stripe's managing director, topped the 12-17 men's category with 168. Bruno Kruijer (171) was second and Andre Foote (175) third.

Phillip Wilson won the super senior group with 79 and 77 (156); Tiana Cruz (152) took the ladies Classic; Murine Blake won the girl's 13+ category; Tristan Brown (173) took the 11-13 boys' title; Luke Lindo the 14-15 segment; and Ethan Jones topped the 16-17 category.
