LONDON, England:
National 200m champion Elaine Thompson was elated after winning her highest profiled 200m to date, as she lowered her personal best to 22.10 at the Sainsbury's Anniversary Games earlier.
Thompson came off the turn inside the London Olympic Stadium in front of the dangerous American Torie Bowie, but showed impressive strength to stop the clock in what is the fourth fastest time in the event this season, with Bowie taking second place in 22.32 ahead of another American Candyce McGrone, 22.70.

"I feel really good to come here and win. Before the race I was a little nervous but this is a big confidence booster for me," Thompson told The Gleaner.
