#Back2Beijing: Williams and Thomas into triple jump final

Kimberly Williams and Shanieka Thomas both secured their places in Monday’s final of the women’s triple jump at the IAAF World Championships which is set for 6:30 a.m.

National champion, Williams, was sixth overall with her effort of 14.23m and will have to improve to repeat or better her fourth place finish at the last championships.

The 23-year-old Thomas was eighth with her longest effort being 14.05m.
