Heptathlete Salcia Slack finding the going tough

Jamaica’s female heptathlete, Salcia Slack, continues to find the going difficult at the 15th IAAF World Championships.

Having entered the session in 31st position out of 33 competitors with 1740 points, she moved up to 28th with 3415 points after finishing 19th overall in the shot put and  and 18th overall in the 200m.

The 25-year-old recorded only one legal throw of 13.53m in the shot put which came on her first attempt to earn her 763 points.

In the 200m her 24.73 eighth-place finish in heat three earned her a further 912 points.

Slack will next be in action this evening in the javelin throw.
