Rain has brought an early end to the second day of the first Brighto Paints-Q Mobile Test match between the West Indies and India at Sabina Park.

Resuming on 244 for seven at the start of play, which got under way in the post-lunch interval session due to a wet pitch associated with overnight rains, the West Indies were 278 for nine when a second bout of rain hit the venue shortly after 3 p.m.

The first bout of rain fell shortly after the luncheon interval and further delayed the start of play. Action started at 2 10 p.m.
The West Indies lost leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo, for the addition of five runs to his overnight  23, while fast bowler Alzarri Joseph was bowled without scoring after facing six balls.

Both dismissals came off the bowling of outstanding left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir, who has so far claimed five for 41.
The not out batsmen are all-rounder and captain Jason Holder, who after resuming on 30 has progressed to 55, and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, four.

Play is scheduled to resume tomorrow at 9 30 a.m.
