PENN RELAYS 2017 - Five Ja teams in boys' 4x400m final

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania

St Elizabeth Technical High School's (STETHS) boys' quartet were the fastest Jamaican qualifiers this morning as five teams advanced to tomorrow's 4x400 metres final at the 2017 Penn Relays.

  Running in the small schools section, the quartet of Shemar Salmon, Denver Robinson, Jauvaney James and Rayon Butler clocked 7:43,99 to win their heat and advanced as the second fastest overall qualifiers.

The other Jamaican teams through to the final are defending champions St  Jago High, second in their heat in 7:48.74, Calabar  High 7:44.48, Jamaica College 7:44.52 and Kingston   College 7:44.85.

   Oxon Hill out of Maryland, are the fastest overall qualifiers  with 7:40.35.
