Veteran female sprinters Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart, pulled out of the JAAA National Championships yesterday with injuries.

Campbell-Brown, the two-time Olympic 200m gold medallist and 2007 World 100m champion, pulled out because of discomfort in her right knee.

Claude Bryan, Campbell-Brown's manager, confirmed her injury last night and added that she has withdrawn from the National Championships.

Meanwhile, Stewart, the 2008 Olympic 100m silver medal winner, withdrew because of an Achilles tendon injury, according to her coach, Henry Rolle.
