Sunil Narine smashed a boundary-studded half-century to lead the Montreal Tigers to a comfortable 24-run win over Dwayne Bravo’s Winnipeg Hawks in the Global T20 here.

Man-of-the-Match Narine clobbered five sixes and four boundaries during his 30-ball knock of 59 to propel the Tigers to 135 for three from their 12 overs.

He was ably assisted by Anton Devcich, who finished unbeaten on 40 off just 23 balls.

The two put on 65 runs for the second wicket in just over five overs, with almost all of the Hawks’ bowlers being put to the sword.

Bravo delivered a superb spell with his medium pace, grabbing a wicket for 16 runs from his three overs.

And even though Narine was expensive with the ball, his two overs costing 21 runs, the Hawks were restricted to 111 for five from their 12 overs.

Opening the batting, former West Indies batsman Dwayne Smith made just nine from 12 balls, while Bravo fell for one.

Mohammad Naveed was the most impressive Tigers bowler, finishing with 2-26.
