Two more Reggae Boyz test positive for COVID

Two more members of the Reggae Boyz delegation have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Thursday's international friendly against the United States, which will be played in Austria.

According to a release from the Jamaica Football Federation on Tuesday, following tests carried out upon the team's arrival in Austria, two positive results were returned by players, including an England-based member of the squad. The players are now in isolation.

Two members of the local delegation including a player had tested positive for the virus based on tests done in Jamaica, however, they both tested negative after Monday's round of testing at their base.

According to the release, another round of testing was done today as per UEFA matchday minus two protocols, with results expected to be received tomorrow morning.

The team is scheduled to take the field for their first training session at 6:00 p.m (12 p.m. Jamaica time) and now has the services of physiotherapist Nico Reishofer, an Austrian.

Thursday's game is scheduled for 12:00 p.m Jamaica time, and forms a part of their preparations for the 2021 Gold Cup tournament and the final round of World Cup qualifiers later this year.
