It was an emotional win for Edwin Allen's Tina Clayton today in the class two girls' 100m final.

She stormed to a season's best 11.38 seconds after her twin sister Tia false-started and was disqualified.

After the athletes were called back at the start, Tia immediately raised her hands in disappointment.

Soon after she was shown the disqualification card.

Tears immediately started to stream down Tina's face, but she was able to regain her composure to finish the race in a season's best.

However, there was little celebration for her win.

The star athlete later told Television Jamaica that the plan was for her and her sister to deliver a 1-2 finish for their mother who is celebrating her birthday today.
