Paul Davis, technical staff depart Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant Football Academy has parted ways with Paul Davis and his technical team.
Davis, who has been at the St Ann-based club for the past four seasons, had the team seventh in the 11-team Jamaica Premier League table on four points after a 0-0 draw with Tivoli Gardens, a 1-0 win over Humble Lion, and a 2-0 loss to Harbour View. However, the club would not say whether the departures are related to results.
"Mount Pleasant Football Academy takes this opportunity to thank coach Paul Davis and his staff for the leadership of our senior team’s technical programme over the past four seasons," the club said in a news release on Wednesday evening. "As a club, we are forever grateful to him and his team for their service and wish them well in all future endeavours.
"The Club remains strong and resolute in attaining its sporting and community development goals as we move forward into what will be a new and exciting chapter and pivot towards a new era of growth."
Mount Pleasant Technical Director Walter Downes has taken charge of the first team with immediate effect.
