It was not second time lucky for national men's swimmer Keanan Dols, who missed out on the Men's 200m Individual Medley semi-final at the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday morning.

Dols, competing in heat one at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in Tokyo, Japan, led for the first 100m of the race but was caught by the chasing field on the breaststroke leg of the race. He clocked a time of 2:04.29 minutes for third place, behind Panama's Bernhard Tyler Christianson (2:02.70), and Lebanon's Munzer Mark Kabbara (2:03.08) in first and second respectively.

Dols was eliminated as he did not clock one of the top 16 times.

This is his second event at the Tokyo Games, as a third place finish also eliminated him from the Men's 200m Butterfly heats on Monday.
