Jamaica's Reggae Boyz secured their first point of the FIFA World Cup qualifying final round with a 1-1 draw with hosts Costa Rica this evening.

Jimmy Marin put Costa Rica in front three minutes in with a point-blank header after a mix up in the Jamaican defence.

Jamaica looked the better team in the second half however and a well placed cross from left back Kemar Lawrence found Shamar Nicholson unmarked in the area. He was able to beat Keylor Navas in the Costa Rica goal in the 47th minute.

Jamaica however remain eighth and last in the table.
