Cavalier are the 2021 Jamaica Premier League champions after defeating Waterhouse 5-4 on penalties in the final held Saturday afternoon at the UWI-JFF-Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence

After playing out a 1-1 scoreline after regulation and extra time the game went into penalties where Cavalier goal-keeper Jeadine White produced two saves to help Cavalier to their first title in 40 years.

Jamoi Topey scored for Cavalier in the 17th minute before Damion Binns sent the game into extra time with an added time strike (90+7).

Waterhouse, which were playing with 10 men since the 18th minute, after Nicholoy Finlayson, have now lost the last three finals (2018, 2019, 2021).
