Edwin Allen standout and reigning World U20 Champion, Tina Clayton broke Briana Williams National Junior Record inside the National Stadium tonight.

Running in the final of the Girls’ U20 100 metres at the JAAA National Senior and Junior Athletics Champioships, Clayton raced to 10.96, the first time she was dipping below 11 seconds in her fledgling career.

Second in the event was Serena Cole, who ran a personal best 11.13, while Tia Clayton just pipped Kerrrica Hill (11.26) to third place in 11.25 seconds.

According to Clayton, she did not expect to dip below 11 seconds until the World Junior Championships in Cali Colombia in August.
