CG2022 | Williams, Tapper advance to 100mh final

Jamaica’s Danielle Williams and Megan Tapper are through to the final of the women’s 100 metres hurdles at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Williams who competed in heat one finished second in a time of 12.80 seconds as England’s Cindy Seamer won the race in a time of 12.67.

Tapper, who ran from heat two, stopped the clock at 12.68 seconds, slightly ahead of Bahamian Devynne Charlton who did 12.70.

The two Jamaicans will be joined in the final by Australia’s Celeste Mucci and Michelle Jenneke, Canada’s Michelle Harrison, Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, Bahamian Devynne Charlton and England’s Cindy Seamer.

The final is set for Sunday at 4:25 am Jamaica time.
