Messi brace gives Halgrimsson, Reggae Boyz first defeat

Jamaica were beaten 3-0 by Argentina in their international friendly tonight at Red Bull arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

Julian Alvarez opened the scoring in the 13th minute while a second half brace from Lionel Messi capped off a strong performance in their final international game before the 2022 World Cup which starts in November.

The game marked the debut of new head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson, who was appointed two weeks ago.

Jamaica had only two shots, none on target.
