JC into Champions Cup final after penalty shoot-out win over STATHS
Jamaica College advanced to the ISSA/Wata Champions Cup final after defeating St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) 5-4 on penalties in their semi-final this afternoon at the National Stadium.
The game ended 1-1 in regulation time with Alec Benny opening the scoring for JC in the 26th minute, before Andre Salmon equalised on the stroke of halftime for STATHS.
In the shootout, STATHS's Alexavier Gooden's shot rebounded agonisingly from the crossbar, the only blip. The miss allowed JC's Tarick Ximines to score the winning penalty.
JC will face the winner of the Kingston College Clarendon College semi final now under way.
