Hydel's Zavien Bernard took home the Class Three girls’ high jump title at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium today.
Bernard won gold with a height of 1.77 metres, which she cleared on her first attempt.
Edwin Allen's Aisha McKay was second with 1.71 seconds, and Rhodes Hall High’s Aaliyah Williams third in 1.68.
Bernard was unable to clear 1.81 metres, which would have broken the Champs record of 1.80 set by Shauntae Foreman, who participated for Excelsior in 2018.
