#Champs2023 | KC extend lead with Class Three long jump win
Kingston College mined nine points through Class Three long jump winner Amani Phillip, who leaped to 6.53 metres to win the event at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships, on inside the National Stadium.
The KC unit moved to 136 points after 16 completed events, having claimed three further points from the long jump with Omarian Mille’s sixth place finish. Brown's biggest jump landed a mark in the sand pit at 6.06 metres.
Between the KC athletes lie Excelsior High School’s Michael Graham, who leaped to 6.33 for second, Calabar High School’s Richard Green, 6.25, and Campion College’s Nasir McMorrison, 6.24, and St Elizabeth Technical High School’s Rodeeki Walt, 6.10.
Wolmer’s Boys’ School’s Everton Thompson, 5.98, and St Catherine’s Beando Reid, 5.91, claimed closed out the finalists.
