Shericka Jackson, Rasheed Broadbell win at Rabat Diamond League
World Championships 200 metres gold medallist Shericka Jackson and Commonwealth Games men's 110 metres hurdles champion Rasheed Broadbell were in top form today at the Rabat Diamond League, posting season-best and world-leading times to win their respective events.
Competing in the half-lap event for the first time overseas this season, Jackson won the women's 200 metres in 21.96 seconds, as training partner Anthonique Strachan of the Bahamas finished second in a personal best 22.15 seconds.
Broadbell winning time of 13.08 seconds in the men's 110 metres hurdles was also a meet record, where he got the better of World Championships winner Grant Halloway of the United States of America, who clocked 13.12 seconds, as Hansle Parchment ended third in a season-best 13.24 seconds.
Four other Jamaicans ended in the top three in their events.
Rushell Clayton's 54.15 seconds and Shian Salmon's 54.42 were second and third in the women's 400 metres hurdles, Shanieka Ricketts' 14.53 metres and Rusheen McDonald's 45.55 seconds were third in the women's triple jump and men's 400 metres respectively.
