Queen of reggae, Marcia Griffiths, delivered a musical treat at the Negril One Love Reggae Concert winter series concert, which was held at the Negril Escape Resort on Tuesday, December 29.

The large crowd that came out in support of the event was treated to a very exciting performance which saw Griffiths singing numerous hits from her vast catalogue, such as Dream Land, I Wanna Be Closer, I Shall Sing, Am I Really Here In Your Arms, Deep In My Heart, Truly, Stepping Out Of Babylon and Love Is Automatic.

Clad in a beautiful red dress, the gracious queen led the audience like the Pied Piper, as she had them singing, dancing and screaming for more, even after she did her encore.

The opening acts, King Samuel, Invada and Edge Michael also delivered enjoyable performances. Ras Shiloh, who was not officially booked for the concert, did a cameo performance, which was well received by the Negril audience.

The Negril One Love Reggae Concert winter series is growing from strength to strength and continues to be one of the entertainment highlights in western Jamaica. The series not only highlights great reggae music, but it also highlights other aspects of Jamaican culture, such as art and craft and local cuisine.
