Oscar Derby

These days, Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Derby is a very busy man. Director General of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA), he is on the receiving end of the new security measures issued by the United States Transportation Security Administration.

But when not ensuring that the sky is safer for all of us, here is how he unwinds:

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was From Worst to First by Gordon Behune, chief executive officer of Continental Airlines.

What CD are you currently listening to?

I'm not currently listening to a CD, but what I listen to most is Haiti toubadou, Haitian creole music.

Where was the last interesting place you visited?

Istanbul, Turkey. It's somewhere I've always wanted to visit. Its the crossroads between Asia and Europe. I enjoyed the culture, history, age of the city. It's a really interesting place.
