... A wake-up call ?

The Editor, Sir:

Perhaps, just perhaps, the devastating earthquake that recently struck the island of Haiti, and all the tragedy which is currently taking place there in the wake of its aftermath, is God's way of forcing the world to pay attention to this long neglected poverty-stricken state.

Now, more than perhaps at any time in its history, the media spotlight all across the globe is on Haiti. Moreover, large quantities of financial, food, medical, and material aid are flowing into Haiti like never before. God does work in mysterious ways!
