Jamaica's young Reggae Girlz dropped out of contention for a place in the Under-20 Women's World Cup when they crashed to their second defeat in two games at the CONCACAF Under-20 Women's Championship in Guatemala yesterday.

The Girlz who were beaten 6-0 by the United States on Thursday went down 2-0 to Mexico yesterday. In the day's feature the United States blanked Trinidad and Tobago to join Mexico in the semi-finals.

Liliana Godoy and Charlyn Corral got the goals for Mexico. In a one-sided affair, Jamaica often had more than eight players behind the ball in their own half in a bid to stifle the Mexican attacks.

Jamaica tried a number of shots from long distance in the first half, the best coming from Nicole Campbell whose shot from midfield landed on top of the net.
