MY NAME is Philippe Blot. I am a Haitian living in New York. I thank Sir Hilary Beckles for his support to the Haitian cause. Often, Western media report Haiti as "the poorest country in the Western hemisphere" without mentioning the main reason why Haiti is so poor. Perhaps they don't know.

I hope some day those journalists will face someone like Sir Hilary to teach them. By the way, I forwarded both articles 'The hate and the quake' to all of them - CNN, CBS, ABC, FOX, etc.
