Olympic and World 400m hurdles champion Melaine Walker will head a slew of St Jago alumni as The Gleaner Champs 100 tour takes over the Spanish Town-based school later this afternoon.

Walker, who won the one-lap hurdles event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and again last year at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, will be joined by fellow Olympian and MVP Track Club teammate Markino Buckley, as well as the Racers' duo of speedsters Yohan Blake and Marvin Anderson.

The athletes will be interacting with the students while promoting the message of fair play and commitment to hard work towards the achievement of success.

The Gleaner Champs 100 tour is being staged in partnership with GraceKennedy, VMBS and LIME, as a means to promote positive values among students while celebrating the centenary staging of next month's ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Championships.
