The Guardian a safe banker

With only eight races being offered at Caymanas Park tomorrow, there will no Pick-9 wagering, only Super-6.

The Super-6 embraces races three to eight and there is no carryover. It starts anew with the guaranteed minimum of $750,0000.

The remarkable grey gelding NASATOL, having won three of his four races this season, should give punters a flying start in the third race over 1400 metres for $350,000-$300,000 claimers.

Trained by Robert Darby Sr, NASATOL bids for a hat-trick following his decisive win over the straight-five course on a $325,000 tag February 13. He had previously won over 1200 metres on January 23, and with the additional 200 metres no obstacle, should win at the expense of RAJPUT (knocking at the door) and TOUCHDOWN.

The second Super-6 race for maiden four-year-olds and up over 1600 metres has attracted 11 starters, including the trio from which the winner should emerge - MISS OLD HARBOUR, JEOPARDY - and the lightly raced BORA BORA from the stables of Desmond Shand.

After finishing lame on his debut a year ago, BORA BORA has been patiently waited on and reprogrammed for this race. Although not hard trained, the 4-y-o grey colt by Footloose II out of Goforchampagne reports in good condition and could return on a winning note with Harriston Lewis in the saddle.

Still, MISS OLD HARBOUR, who beat all barring EXPRESS TRAIN over 1400 metres on February 20, has a bit more appeal with only 50.0kg. This lightly raced filly should go one better with competent claiming apprentice Richard Mairs aboard.

Briefly, NATURALLY ROYAL, now dropped to claiming com-pany for the fifth race over 1200 metres, gets the nod over old rival THE BEST MAN and SHE'S MAGIC, while it should be MORNING CRUISE over SKYWAY EXPRESS and THUNDER STORM in the sixth race over the round-five course.

Fleet-footed

Then, take ultra-consistent THE GUARDIAN, trekking down in class, to catch the fleet-footed FOREVER MINE in the seventh, while it should be JUNIOR MINISTER (knocking at the door) in the closing race over 1500 metres for maiden three-year-olds.
