Praetorian Award for Maritime & Transport

Maritime and Transport Services Limited, local representatives for Maersk Line, has received the Praetorian Award for more than 40 years of unbroken membership with the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC).

The group's managing director, Kim Clarke, is vice-president of The Shipping Association of Jamaica and son of the late Hylton Clarke. The company was presented with the award at the JCC's annual awards banquet held at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel last Thursday.

The company, which was incorporated in 1966, is primarily a steamship agent which provides services including entering/clearing vessels, ship's husbandry, charterers agents, protective agents, cargo procurement and non-vessel operating common carrier.

Maritime and Transport is the exclusive port agent at Rocky Point, Port Kaiser and Old Harbour Bay.
