Led by their leg-spinners Cassius Burton Jr and Donovan Nelson, St Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) powered into final of the Grace/ISSA Headley Cup after an emphatic victory over Tacky High at Chedwin Park.

Replying to STETHS's 451 for seven declared, Tacky were first skittled out for 130, and then behind Burton's five for 22, were demolished for 75 following on, to hand the defending champions victory by an innings and 246 runs.

The Manchester/Holmwood battle at the STETHS ground in Santa Cruz will require an additional day's play to decide the winners. Manchester, powered by captain Courtney Campbell's 144, built on their overnight position of 142 for five to reach 344. Holmwood, despite losing experienced batsman Marlon Pinnock for 73 in the day's final over, were making a strong reply at 166 for two.

At Chedwin Park, Tacky resumed on 66 for two with their hopes pinned on the team's main batsman, John Campbell. Campbell initially fought back well, dominating a third-wicket partnership with Richard Hamilton, who fell for three to the day's tormentor, Casius Burton Jr. However, once Burton removed Campbell caught at mid on by Donovon Nelson for 53, with the score at 109 for 4, the innings folded quickly.
