Telecommunications company Claro last week unveiled a new customer access centre at its head offices in New Kingston.

The state-of-the-art store, spanning more than 7,000 square feet, is designed to offer full service to Claro customers, as the company continues its quest to eat into Jamaica's mobile market.

Joseph Oates, Claro's marketing manager, says that the company decided to establish a one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art location that would fulfil all customers' needs.

"This customer access centre is unlike any other in Jamaica, we will offer services including mobile-phone activation, netbooks, data plans, blackberry service activation and the sale of call credit, all under one roof," Oates said.

"We took our time to ensure that the store would suit the needs of customers by listening to their feedback," he added.

According to Oates, about $18 million was spent on the renovation, and no expense was spared to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

"The New Kingston Customer Access Centre is a template of what all our stores will look like throughout the island - spacious, convenient and equipped with friendly services. We are expanding our access centres to adequately cater to our growing customer base," said Oates.

The marketing manager promised that in addition to a larger display area, there would now be more customer care representatives, a comfortable waiting area and in-house technicians who would diagnose phone issues.
