• What of the Litter Act?

1 Jaws dropped in disbelief when a policeman was observed relieving himself by the side of the road in one of Kingston's upscale neighbourhoods. He had parked his squad car and then proceeded to urinate in full view of passersby. Obviously this officer had never heard about the Litter Act.

• Showing with guest

2  What's wrong with showing up at a catered function escorted by your chauffeur? Everything. The invitation was for you and you RSVP for one. So only one place setting was reserved for you. But Jamaicans have tended to ignore these protocols as they swirl from one cocktail party to the next.

• Carlos Hill

3  It was hilarious to see that what was dubbed the 'Carlos Hill chaperita' was nothing more than part of a handcuff. Oh the sense of humour of Jamaicans.

• Boardroom drama

4  High drama in the boardroom with locks being changed and charges and countercharges being levelled. Those in the middle say they have never seen such a grand conspi-racy or such viciousness. But as they say the devil is in the details. More anon.
