Political comedy
The Editor, Sir:
Does Mr Samuda, a senior politician, a man of consi-derable experience, and, one would presume, wisdom, really expect us to believe the cock and bull story he told about who hired Manatt, Phelps and Phillips?
If this is really so, what does this say for his leadership as general secretary of one of Jamaica's oldest political parties and its leader, credited with good sense and acumen in the field of political management?
Serious business
Mr Samuda says persons in the party, yet unidentified to the public, engaged in such serious business without either he, the general secretary or the party leader being aware. So, Mr Brady was right then when he chided Mr Vaz about knowing what he claimed not to know. What a preckeh!
Best Comedy
We have had moments of high comedy in the political arena before, but none quite like this. Surely this is eligible for the award of Best Comedy of the year. The only problem is that we the audience really are not in a mood to "tek bad sinting mek laugh".
