Singer Ziggy Marley, whose last album was directed at a family market, has got involved with a new project that is anything but child's play.
According to the website, eurweb.com, the 41-year-old Marley has signed on as co-writer of Marijuanaman, a comic-book series scheduled to debut in the United States in April 2011.
Marley will be working with Berkeley, California-based Image Comics and Comic-Con International from San Diego, California, on the series.
Marijuanaman is based on the adventures of an alien superhero, who comes to Earth to protect marijuana.
"I have been reading comics since I was a little boy in Jamaica," said Marley. "I am very excited to be a part of Image Comics, Comic-Con and the comic book community."

He will be signing posters for the series at San Diego's Comic-Con International on July 24.
