A bumper crowd is expected to turn out at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex tomorrow to see some of the best past players of Arnett Gardens tackling members of their current squad. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m.

Among the former stars who will be on show are Walter 'Blacka' Boyd, Everton White, Byron Earl, Robert 'Bunny' Scott, Lucien Anderson, Leroy Bartley, Mark Morrison, George Henry, Denton Shedden and Selvin Collins.

Some of the current members of the Arnett Gardens squad are Gerald Neil, Ricardo Smith, Leon Strickland, Kevin 'Pele' Wilson, Cornel Chin Sue, Kirk Ramsey, Rohan Reid, Damion Hyatt and William Richards.

This match will be preceded by a game between the Arnett Gardens Under-21 team and Police National, starting at 4 p.m.

Christopher Marshall, organiser of the event, said the games would help to bring members of the community together in one place.

Hoping for success

"We are hoping for a success-ful event and want the people of the community to come out and support the games, and to see some of their former stars parading their skills," said Marshall.

"I think something like this will be good for the community. Many of the youngsters will also get a chance to see some of best players from former years on show," Marshall said.

Schoolboy Movements and Spectrum International will provide music for the event, and admission is $1,000 for VIP, general $500 and children $200. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Arnett Gardens Sports Club.
