Mon congrats.

Then the fab Cindy Breakspeare Bent, Jamaica's second Miss World, takes off for London early next week to participate in the 50th anniversary celebration and glamfest that will commemorate the first staging of the Miss World pageant.

Luvs, expect Jamaica to shine as, indeed, the fab Miss World is one unofficial ambassador extraordinare for this island in the sun. So, you go girl!

Then the fabulous Louise Valle, the wife of former Canadian High Commissioner Claudio Valle, jetted into the island last week, taking her leave on Tuesday of this week, after a series of high-powered and high-profile meetings and social engagements, including attending the swearing-in ceremony of Jamaica's ninth prime minister, Andrew Holness.

A tireless supporter of development aid and assistance for Jamaica, the charming Valle is expected to return to Jamaica in the new year.

Caribbean Model Search

And my darlings, if you have not yet secured your tickets for this weekend's entertainment and fab-fest extravaganza, being hosted by Pulse at Studio 38, Trafalgar Road, in New Kingston, then y'all are running the risk of missing out on one of the season's best entertainment offerings.

Luvs, we are talking fab and glam entertainment fest here and nothing but, as this year Pulse will be presenting and hosting its largest-ever Caribbean Model Search (CMS), showcasing some hot new and fabulous faces from all across Jamaica; plus an entertainment fiesta, featuring headliner, musical R&B crooning icon Freddie Jackson, by special request and popular demand in a special concert, come tomorrow night.

Without a doubt the CMS is the unquestioned authority on spotting, grooming, promoting and then projecting on to the world stages and catwalks Jamaican modelling talent. Pulse, through its CMS, has no equals in this respect.

To be sure, the attempt to imitate Pulse over the years has seen many such attempts crash and burn in a frenzy of inglorious publicity, but there is no gainsaying the success Pulse models has garnered and the international exposure. Models such as Althea Laing, Jheanelle Azan, Kimberley Mais, Angela Neil, Juline Samuels, Lois Samuels, Justine Willoughby, Nikki Vassel, Romae Gordon, Sanya Hughes, Carla Campbell, Jaunel McKenzie, Nell Robinson, Oraine Barrett, Jeneil Williams, Gaye McDonald, Sedene Blake and Lincoln Wynter have brought to brand Jamaica.

This year, to augment the talent pool and generate national interest, the Pulse scouts have been touring the island, from St Thomas to Westmoreland, in an effort to identify outstanding contestant who will raise the bar to the international level, to be cast as the world's potential supermodels in this year's search.

It climaxes with a fab cocktail reception later this evening, to a meet-and-greet for special guest Freddie Jackson, as a precursor to his concert tomorrow. Come Sunday evening, it's still all about Studio 38 as the CMS finals will be the marquee event as this year's hopefuls will take to the stage in a number of categories to try to out-pose and out-attitude each other, dressed by some of the region's leading designers, for bragging rights to modelling's fabbest prize and crown, with a with special performance by the au current and definitely hot Tifa.

Afterwards, all roads lead to Negril for the party capital of the Caribbean - Hedonism II - for the annual staging of the hottest Halloween extravaganza this side of the world!

Dears, we are talking witches and warlocks, pirates and wenches, lads and lassies, not to mention vixens, werewolves, an assortment of superheroes, heroines and villains; and some simply fab earthly gods and goddesses, for one fabulous celebration that will morph into one ginormous 30th anniversary celebration, come November 1.

Dears, too hot to miss so more anon!
