American Cochran tops 48th LIME Open

American Russ Cochran matched his first day four under 68 to top 48th LIME Jamaica Open at the Half Moon Golf Course in Montego Bay yesterday.


Cochran, the 52-year-old 2011 Senior British Open champion, ended with a 10 under par 206 (68, 70, 68), two shots clear of fellow American Dave Rummells (70, 70, 68) and Canadian Dave Levesque (70, 68, 70), who were tied for second on 208.

Olin Brown, the reigning American Senior champion, who started yesterday's final day leading by a stroke, could only manage a level par 72 and finished fourth on 209.

Chasing a record

Jamaica's Johnny Bloomfield, who began the tournament chasing a record fourth title, ended in fifth spot on 210 after carding a 68. His three-day scores were 70, 72, 68.
