Norman Marshall and first-time player Howard Drake won the 2012 Stephen Potter Invitational Tennis Tournament on Sunday March 11.

The tournament, played at the Liguanea Club and promoted by Tony Gambrill, had as other participants Everton Morgan, Rachel Pine-McLarty, Richard Gomes, Richard Jones, Rosie McIver, Norman Marshall and Oliver Clarke.

Professor Marshall Hall presented the unique Stephen Potter Genie Cup to the winners, enrolled many of the players into the SP Hall of Fame and gave each of the most improved lady players a pineapple.

Copromoter Linda Gambrill said with pride: "This important tournament should now be played at least twice annually. Tony does so much to improve the tennis standards of the participants."
