Area Four Police seek 35 wanted persons
A man accused of carnal abuse involving a nine-year-old child is among 35 wanted persons being sought by the Area Four Police.
The man has been identified as Rupert Clarke, who is alleged to have sexually assaulted the infant in 2008.
Senior Superintendent Derrick Knight, who heads the St Andrew Central Police Division, yesterday appealed for assistance from members of the public.
"We need to catch him; he's been out there too long," said Knight, who was speaking at a press conference at Police Area Four headquarters in downtown Kingston.
The list also includes two women, Nicola DaCosta and Kyann Rose, who are wanted for murder in the Kingston Western Police Division.
Assistant Commissioner Gervais Taylor, who heads the Police Area Four, said the 35 people are wanted for a total of 36 crimes, including murder, rape and carnal abuse.
"Your assistance (in finding these persons) will go a far way to make your communities safer," Taylor pleaded.
