Jamaica lead CCC

Jamaica, leading Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) by 63 on first innings, reached 164 for three in their second innings at the close on the second day of their final round Regional Four-Day match at 3Ws Oval yesterday.

Scores: Jamaica 200 and 164 for three; CCC 137.

Resuming yesterday on 46 for three, CCC were restricted by Jamaican spinners Nikita Miller, three for 28, and Odean Brown two for 23. Medium pacer David Bernard bagged two for 14. Shacaya Thomas was the topscorer for CCC with 78.

Donovan Pagon (44) and Brenton Parchment (41) are the leading scorers in Jamaica's second innings.

Second day

In Grenada, Barbados defeated the Windward Islands by 65 runs on the second day of their final round match.

Scores: Barbados 192 (Kirk Edwards 99; Shane Shillingford 6-77) and 85 (Shane Shillingford 8-33).

Windwards 133 (Liam Sebastien 28; Javon Searles 6-44) and 73 (Nelon Pascal 20; Searles 5-39, Sulieman Benn 4-32).

In St Kitts, Trinidad and Tobago defeated Leeward Islands by nine wickets.

Scores: Leewards 81 (Austin Richards 31, Kavesh Kantasingh 4-17, and 158 (Austin Richards 44, Kavesh Kantasingh 6-77.

Trinidad and Tobago 172 (Marlon Barclay 39, Hayden Walsh 4-47, and 68 for one.
