Ready to continue serving Black River

At 41years old, businessman Everton 'Seaton' Fisher is among the youngest mayors across the island.

But that does not daunt the man who describes himself as a lay preacher who is passionate about the Christian ministry.

Fisher was returned as councillor for the Balaclava division in last Monday's local government elections, and takes on the job of mayor of Black River with zeal.

He is engaged to be married shortly and is the father of a son who is in first form at high school.

The new mayor relaxes by staying home and watching television.

After his swearing in last Thursday, Fisher expressed gratitude to the people of the Balaclava division who have supported him.

In a strident manner, the mayor emphasised that for his tenure he would be seeking the help of the citizens, the councillors and his staff in running an efficient council.
