NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CMC):Jamaican Shaun Bridgmohan won twice on Saturday, but went winless on Sunday and missed out on lucrative payouts as the season at Fair Grounds climaxed here Sunday.

The ace reinsman landed race two with Dawn's Tribute and returned to capture race nine aboard AT Money, to feature prominently on the 12-race programme on the penultimate day of the season.

However, any hopes of finishing the season with a bang were shattered when he failed to find the winners' enclosure.

More disappointingly, Bridgmohan had mounts in several of the day's feature races, but came up short on every occasion.

He finished fourth in the US$1-million Grade II Louisiana Derby aboard 4-1 bet Cigar Street, the feature event that was won by 109-1 long-shot Hero of Order.

In the US$400,000 Mervin H Muniz Jr Memorial Handicap, Bridgmohan was last aboard the longest shot in the 11-horse field, 32-1 chance Suntracer.

He managed to clinch third spot in the US$90,000 Southern Oaks Plantation Costa Rising Stakes with 3-1 bet Get in Da House, but in the day's final event, the US$60,000 Bayou St John's Stakes, he trailed in fifth with Chief Jay.

Bridgmohan finished the season fourth on 76 wins and with US$1.9 million in earnings, while Rosie Napravnik captured the jockeys' title with 111 wins and US$3.7 million in earnings.
