FALMOUTH, Trelawny: "Bush League, Bush League," were the celebratory taunts of some Montego Bay United fans as their team beat Village United 1-0 in the Red Stripe Premier League yesterday.

There is a very slim chance that Village can remain in the league but their camp is already preparing to play in the lower leagues next season.

"We are around ten points behind with four games to play, it would take a miracle to stay in the league, I believe that it is back to the confederation for us," said Village's coach Rohan Robinson.

Village went behind in the eighth minute. A cross into the Village penalty box was deflected past goalkeeper Keith Hamilton by one of his defenders.

Jeff Pierce got a glorious chance to salvage a point for Village deep in the second half, but with only goalkeeper Jacomeno Barrett to beat, he headed well over the crossbar.

The quality of play throughout the entire game was very low with a lot of aimless kicking by both teams.

"Horrible, horrible. We won but it was a horrible game," Montego Bay's coach Neider Dos Santos said after the match.
