Tailored suits and elegant, flowing gowns were the order of the evening for the recent Jamaica Chamber of Commerce annual awards ceremony to honour leading businesses and individuals in the island. Held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, corporate veterans and young entrepreneurs mingled and, perhaps, discussed future business ventures during the cocktail hour in the lounge before heading into the lavish ballroom to see the ceremony proceedings and the various award presentations.

Digicel took home the coveted Best of Chamber Award for the large-business category while Spanish Court Hotel and Jamaica Energy Partners won in the medium- and small-business categories, respectively.

Mocking Bird Hill Hotel received the Environmental Protection Award, and Dr Beverly Scott received the Individual Community Services Award. The Manchester Chamber of Commerce won the Best Parish Chamber Award.
